Fifteen minutes from our front door to yours.

We're based in Cwmbran, so Newport isn't an area we "also cover"; it's the first place we reach when we turn onto the A4042. Whether you're in Maindee, Malpas, St Julians, Rogerstone or out towards Caerleon, a free survey is an easy visit for us, and we can usually offer you a slot within days rather than weeks.

Newport's terraces were built to hold heat in.

A lot of Newport's housing is Victorian and Edwardian terrace: solid brick, slate roofs and very little cross-ventilation. Those houses were designed to keep warmth in through a wet Welsh winter, and they do the same thing in a July heatwave. The bedrooms sit under the roof, the evening sun loads the back wall, and by ten o'clock the upstairs is still in the mid-twenties with every window open. A fan moves that warm air around; it can't take the heat out of the room.

A properly sized split system does. One quiet indoor unit holds your bedroom at the temperature you actually sleep at, and because it's a heat pump, the same unit heats the room in winter at three to four times the efficiency of a plug-in heater. We've written a plain guide to what it really costs to run if you want the numbers.

One local team, from survey to service.

We survey, fit, wire and service everything ourselves; there's no subcontracting and no handing you between companies. You get a fixed price before any work starts, a 10 year guarantee on the installation as standard, and payment can be spread over up to 12 months interest free. Pensioners get 10% off, and there's a discount for multi-room installations and for households with a newborn. We will also tell you where the outdoor unit is going before we quote, which is usually the rear wall; the rules that decide whether that needs permission are in our planning permission guide.

If you'd like a rough figure before anyone visits, the price builder takes about two minutes. When you're ready, book a free survey and one of our engineers will come and have a look; it takes about fifteen minutes and you're under no obligation afterwards.
